Referral and xray requests for specialist appointments require you to provide 2 weeks notice to Kids World of Smiles . Please confirm with the specialist before your appointment that records and/or xrays have been received. It is the responsibility of patients and not Kids World of Smiles to know appointment dates and receipt of records requests for specialists. 

KWS tries to accommodate school and work schedules by offering late afternoon/early evening appointment options but due to the high demand during the school year there is limited availability for later appointments. We ask parents to schedule earlier afternoon appointments when possible. School excuse notes are provided if requested. Children under 6 years need to be scheduled before 4 pm.

KWS adheres to the latest sterilization and social distancing guidelines for patient health and safety. Please wash hands, wear masks, adhere to posted distancing guidelines . KWS will schedule multiple children for same day appointments but must enforce the one parent allowed in operatory per child/patient regulation. Younger children must remain in the waiting room with another adult.

* Please be advised that Maryland Healthy Smiles requires patients that do not show up for appointments without 48 hours notice be reported to the Healthy Smiles program administrator.
